*pretty tired proofreading this so warning, it’s possible it could be a hot mess.
Short and sweet today. Relaxing with an evening with The Vampire Diaries: The one where Stefan gets mopey about Elena, and Damon does that freaky eye thing whenever he is showing intense emotion. Yeah I love it.
Week in Review
-The exercise. Well last Saturday I ran 5.5 miles on the beach. Then I got a massage, and somewhere in the middle of Zero Dark Thirty the cold I thought I was getting over hit me hard. Despite feeling pretty miserable for a couple of days, I did some form of exercise every single day, even if it was just a walk. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. BTW Zero Dark Thirty was awesome in kind of an intense way.
-My neighbor let me borrow a screener of Les Miz. Pretty good but long, and everyone seems to enjoy being a martyr.
-Realized I wouldn’t be able to complete my goal of going to one yoga class this month to test the shoulder, when I tried a few yoga poses at home and found most poses to be really painful.
-Made an appointment this Monday for a new orthopedic surgeon (one that came recommended). I tried acupuncture on Wed. night (I had an old groupon so no cost) but it didn’t help at all, although it’s very relaxing.
-Cancelled the trip I was hoping to take in May so I could save money for what I’m guessing is either going to mean surgery and or extensive PT. I’m still paying off the root canal I had last year, so it probably wasn’t a good decision to go anyway.
-Did my weekly contribution to the 52-week-challenge.
-Work is going well!
-Spending & saving are going VERY well. I do only have $23 left in my grocery budget for the rest of the month, but I’m determined to only eat eggs for the rest of the week if that means for ONCE staying in budget!
-Eating healthy also going very well.
What do you all have planned this weekend? I might take it easy, get some exercise, and get caught up with some reading and errands. Exciting huh? It feels weird to not have my weekend plans include volleyball anymore, since that was such a big part of my life, but I have to roll with things and my injury, and deal with it as best I can!
