It’s 9 am on a Friday morning and I’m trying to get a post out, because I collected some links from this week that I wanted to make sure I shared.
I’m currently at my friend Heidi’s law office helping her out with another networking event, aka, doing a side hustle. I’m thinking of changing my middle name to hustle (Tonya H. Stumphauzer), since that’s what I’ve been doing like ca-RAZY lately. 🙂
Networking should be my other middle name, as one of my goals in the wealth part of my Health and Wealth Challenge this week was to reach out to, or make 10 new contacts. I’ve far surpassed that number, so yay me! I say “yay me” because networking to me is one of the most unnatural activities this hardcore introvert can possibly take on. I’m so much more comfortable in my yoga pants curled up on the couch watching Netflix. It seriously drains the hell out of me, but I’m pushing on, in fact I have one more event Saturday with the SoCal Personal Finance Meetup in Orange Country that I’m in charge of.
But after that event I’m taking a much needed break and resting! There comes a point where one can almost over-network to the point of exhaustion, and you need to take a step back and let the chips fall where they may. Sometimes I think it’s easy to cross the line of trying TOO hard.
So anyway, enjoy your weekend! This Monday I will have a fun video to share with you all!
Do you find networking to be an easy activity? How do you balance networking with letting fate takes its course?
