About a month ago I did a side gig at my friend Heidi’s law firm, where they hold networking events for entrepreneurs. It’s a double win for me because not only do I make a little money on the side, but I also get to network myself, usually by bartending.
While I was there, I was introduced to James Kinney, who is the founder of 30K Feet, one of the startups that works out of Heidi’s office. You know when you meet someone and you can just tell they have the most amazing energy? That’s James.
I found out from one of his staff what his startup does, and since I have an interest in health/wellness/happiness, I was so intrigued to learn more. So James sat me down and explained what he hopes to accomplish with his company, and you could just feel the passion and the pride he took in what he is creating.
I decided to feature James on Real Money Stories, because like many people who become freelancers or entrepreneurs, their work paths often don’t start off that way. Usually there is some major life event or catalyst that propels them to follow their passion. James is no different.
Here is his story.
